About the Artist

Khoi is a self-taught artist and designer based in Toronto, Canada.
Born and raised in Vietnam, he moved to North America at the age of 15 to pursue his education and career. His personal experience inspired him to create ‘The Canaliens’ series that follows a family of aliens crashing onto Toronto and their journey to adapt to their new life.
After years of working in the interior design field, he began to rekindle his passion for drawing and illustrating in late 2023. His artwork inspired by the Asian culture, comic books, and the world of extraterrestrial beings.

The Story of the design

The Canaliens 👽The story follows a family of four aliens accidentally landed in Toronto when their UFO was struck by a meteor. Through time, they learn to adapt & settle down in this once strange environment. The aliens represent myself and many immigrants residing & calling Canada their second home.
